Before moving on to the next topic, it helps to know who's genuinely ready and who's still lost — this meter lets students quietly rate their own confidence from 1 to 5. Ask "how confident do you feel about today's grammar point?" and watch the responses build into a quick, class-wide picture. It tends to be more honest than hand-raising, since nobody has to publicly admit they're a 2 in front of their friends. Check it partway through a lesson to decide whether to reteach or push ahead.
