About this tool

Most students answer a question and stop, leaving the conversation to die unless you jump in with a prompt of your own. This generator hands you ready-made follow-ups that dig past the surface answer — the "why," the "what happened next," the "do you agree" that keeps a pair talking instead of nodding and moving on. Use it as a model on the board so students see what a good follow-up sounds like, or feed it live when a pair conversation stalls out. Over time, it trains students to ask their own follow-ups without you having to prompt them.
