About this tool
The pomodoro method — focused work, then a short break, repeated — works as well in a classroom as it does at a desk, and this timer runs the whole cycle for you. Start it, and it alternates automatically between a work period and a break period, so students always know which mode they're in and how much time is left in it. There's no need to reset anything between rounds; the cycle just keeps going. Try it during independent writing, silent reading, or any task where students tend to lose focus without a clear rhythm of work and rest.
