About this tool

This generator hands students four separate pieces — a subject, a verb, a complement, a time expression — and leaves the job of stitching them into a real sentence entirely up to them. It suits lower levels especially well, since they often know each part of a sentence on its own but still stumble when it's time to put them together in the right order. Call out a fresh combination for each student down the row, or let pairs generate one and race to write it correctly on the board. Every click produces a new set of pieces, so the drill can run as long as attention holds.
